Individuals with Reproductive problems, Voluntary sterilisation or sterilisation (non production/less production of sperms), medical conditions or treatments, exposure to radiation and toxins etc.
Safety is the PRIMARY ADVANTAGE of using sperms provided by our bank. The bank not only screen all donors for an array of genetic & sexually transmitted diseases but freeze and quarantine ALL samples for a minimum of six months to ensure that during retesting of the donor(After six months) he should again test negative for HIV, hepatitis B & C and other transmitted diseases including Thallesemia. IT IS ONLY WHEN this testing reveal that donor is COMPLETELY FREE of these diseases, is his frozen sperms are released for use.
The potential risk is NOT in the use of Thawed frozen sperms. Artificial insemination however is an invasive procedure, there is always the possibility of a minor infection.
They can be safely stored for 20 years under controlled conditions.
Men who work in industries where there is a danger of exposure to radiation, toxins or other genetically threatening environmental pollutants, are advised to preserve their sperms against possible accidents that could leave them infertile, impotent or genetically damaged.
Your first step should be to discuss the possibility with your doctor experienced in reproductive biology .you and your husband’s medical examination & investigation will decide whether sperm Bank can help you convert your dream in to a reality of having a baby. There after either couple or the Doctor can make a request to the bank for donor sample. Couples can also visit the bank for availing “Donor matching facilities” for best suited samples (See above “Donor Matching and selection”)
